The transformation of ethylene and alkenes is high importance for the chemical industry. In this review, we focus on selective where metallacyclopentane suspected or demonstrated to be involved in reaction mechanism. addition alkenes, “classical” products oligomerization, also cover articles dealing with synthesis cyclobutane butadiene derivatives, through common metallacycle intermediate. We present studies that help decipher precise mechanism transformations, i.e. involving postulated intermediates, labelling experiments DFT calculations.
